Week 12

Training complete and I am looking forward to using this new knowledge in my daily tasks!!

Week 10 Mashmaps

This has been an interesting and fun module to do.
I can see potential for use in the local library using past and recent photos also for tourist information.

Week 9 Podcasts and Audio

Podcasts could be used in many ways in libraries of all sizes - be they small branches or larger branches in towns or cities.
Staff meetings/discussions perhaps some training sessions and when promoting coming events such as storytime or holidays activities.
Also author interviews.

Week 9 0 Podcasts and Audio

Week 9 0 Podcasts and Audio

Week 8 - Answer Boards

My Library is only small and opened only three sessions per week so maybe "slamming the boards" may not be an option. However I would like to explain to patrons the term "slamming the boards" and ask for their opinions. I have found this module quite interesting.

Week 7 Tagging

A tool which will prove very useful at the local library - making research so much quicker and varied.
Bookmarks could also be most useful when accessing computers whilst travelling once again saving time and giving more choice.

Week 6 - Videos On line

So many to view and so little time. "Lego" on YouTube - what fun.
I particularly liked the interview of Mike Munro at Mossman Library.
Possibilities in the local library - a video of activities ie storytime, holiday activity or craft sessions - subject to consent from participants.

What a great experience to wander the Adelong Falls and old Gold Mine workings via flickr so many wonderful photographs of a historical site which is such a vital part of the Adelong's history.

Learning Curve

I am excited to be part of a group learning Web 2.0.
This is quite new for me.
I see this a another way of keeping in touch with friends both old and new.
